ClassDeck ("ClassDeck," "we," "us") is a personal schedule and course organizer for college students. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Account information. Your email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text or visible to us.
Content you enter. Classes, meeting times, instructors, locations, resources, to-dos, reminders, and your display name — anything you type into the app.
Canvas data (optional). If you choose to connect a Canvas calendar feed, we fetch assignment and event data from the feed URL you provide, so it can appear in your to-do list and calendar. We only ever access the feed you supply — we don't have general access to your Canvas account.
Billing information. If you subscribe, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we only keep a reference (customer and subscription IDs) needed to know your subscription status.
Usage data. Basic technical information (like IP address and browser type) collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and reliability, not for tracking or advertising.
To run the app: show your schedule, keep your to-dos and reminders, sync Canvas data you've connected, process payments, and provide support if you contact us. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
The AI Assistant's daily review sends a summary of your own classes, open to-dos, and reminders for that day to Google's Gemini API to generate a short written briefing. This only happens when you tap "Generate my daily review," and only your own data is included. Google processes this request under its own API terms; we don't control how Google's systems handle it beyond that request.
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers that make ClassDeck work:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ClassDeck or our users.
We use a small number of cookies required to keep you signed in. We don't use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual classes, to-dos, reminders, and resources yourself at any time within the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we'll process the request promptly.
You can access, correct, or delete your information at any time — most of it directly in the app, or by contacting us for anything you can't change yourself (like your account email).
ClassDeck is intended for college students and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
We use industry-standard practices (encrypted connections, access controls that keep every account's data isolated from every other account) to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately for what it is — a personal class schedule, not financial or medical records.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know within the app.
